Job Title:  Field Service Technician I                          FLSA Status:    Non-Exempt

Department:  Window Service                                   Reports to: Branch Manager

Summary: Field Service Technician is a mobile repair or assessment technician who travels to a site to troubleshoot equipment/product issues.  Technician’s job is to repair and maintain all makes and models of a windows, doors, garage doors & operators.  Assist in custom Millwork shop using power tools. Other product categories may be added at discretion of supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
  • Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Assist in custom Millwork shop using power tools such as  planers, sander, belt sander, jig saw, table saw, band saw, portable drills, drill press
  • Shop customer service and processing credits
  • Insure that safety policies and practices, concerning vehicles, tools and equipment are complied with.
  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.

 

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Knowledge of residential construction and the ability to use hand tools is desired. Must be able to work from ladders and scaffolding, and work well unsupervised.
  • Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.

Job Description:

Project Coordinator / Estimator is responsible for serving customers in an engaging way.  Its purpose is to promote customer service for both external and internal customers.  It will include assisting walk-in customers, talking with phone-in customers, purchase order entry, material receiving, answering phones, scheduling, compiling data and creating reports.  Accurately estimate projects for a variety of customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers as they enter our Sales office
  • Assist customers with pricing, order, product and delivery status information
  • Schedule some customer deliveries in coordination with dispatch
  • Provide accurate building material take-off, estimating, value engineering and providing solutions to homeowner, contractor and/or house accounts as required
  • Accurately create/process customer sales orders/changes and deliveries according to established department policies and procedures to ensure successful interaction with operations (On-time/Complete)
  • Assist with price and account reconciliations between builders and accounts receivable
  • Partner with sales team to meet and exceed customers’ service expectations
  • Network with internal departments to actively promote, provide quotes, and present to customers.  This would include trusses, windows, doors, trim, roofing, siding, cabinetry, ZCS, etc.
  • Assist VP of Sales with requested reports.
  • Organize proposals and create project pricing.
  • Provide engineering support and solutions for all staff and walk-in customers
  • Network with internal departments to actively promote, provide quotes, and present to customers.  This would include trusses, windows, doors, trim, roofing, siding, ZCS, etc.
  • Commit to continual education and training on product, sales development and estimating.
  • Follow up on potential projects and provide feedback as necessary.
  • Comply with company policies as it relates to procedures, reporting.
  • Accurately enter quotes and orders with all information needed to ensure successful interaction with operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Attend various HBA/sales/networking events as needed.
  • Assist accounts as assigned by VP of Sales.

Summary: The Logistics Manager would be responsible for all aspects of dispatching and logistics.  This person would work as a team member, along with our Director of ZLS Operations, Dispatcher, and Yard Leads, for successful implementation of operational goals, meeting customers’ needs.  This person would be responsible for the delivery driving workforce and centralized dispatch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing equipment and personnel to capacity – optimizing resources for delivery efficiency.
  • Manage fleet and drivers to meet and exceed customers’ needs with on time deliveries, credits and methods of deliveries.
  • Manage DOT Compliance.
  • Use existing order delivery tracking system, order system, and invoice system to maximum potential.
  • Implement and maintain consistent processes throughout organization.
  • Research and develop new systems for furthering existing methods of delivery to a more technological tracking of fleet and drivers.
  • Communicating with internal and external customers on status of deliveries.
  • Oversee, schedule, and dispatch daily deliveries, and track drivers throughout the day.
  • Use all options available, and creative solutions to delivery issues and challenges.
  • All paperwork required to fulfill job, including vehicle inspection forms, log sheets, credit forms, invoices, and anything else.
  • Track group timecards and approve.
  • Document and coach employees through counseling reports consistently for continuous improvement
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
