Windows By Material
Zeeland Lumber & Supply has windows for sale in the most popular materials: wood and vinyl. These materials have a lot to offer in customization, thermal comfort, and energy performance.
Wood Windows
Wood windows are known for their natural beauty and durability. They can be constructed from many different wood options, including cedar, oak, alder, pine, and mahogany. They are great for use in historic homes, or if you’re going for a classic look. Wood can be easily painted or stained. They are long-lasting that don’t need to be replaced often.
Vinyl Windows
Vinyl windows offer similar durability to wood windows with a lower cost and easier installation process. Unlike wood, vinyl won’t warp or rot, and doesn’t require much work to maintain. New vinyl technology provides superior insulation and UV protection, and demonstrates a stronger return on investment over more expensive window materials.
Most Popular Window Styles
Our new and replacement window collection includes all the window styles you might need.. Here are just a few of the popular styles we offer.
Casement Windows
Casement windows are great for bringing in light and allowing ventilation. They typically operate on a hinge with a crank that allows them to open out and let air in. When cranked closed, they provide a tight seal that locks completely. The style is great for use in bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and any other rooms where you want simple ventilation with a secure window seal.
Picture Windows
Picture windows are large, stationary windows that bring in a ton of light and let you enjoy a wide view outside. They’re most commonly used in bedrooms, living rooms, and other spaces where light is paramount. Because they don’t open, the picture design is more streamlined and they can cover a broad area.
Single and Double-Hung Windows
When you picture a common window, you’re likely to imagine a single-hung window. With an upper and lower window frame, the lower sash can be opened by moving it up to allow easy ventilation through the bottom part of the window. A double-hung window works in a similar way, except both the upper and lower sashes can move. New technology has improved this classic window style with a more effective seal and efficient insulating core to prevent heat loss.
Roof Windows and Skylights
Roof windows and skylights are great options for bringing more light into your home. Skylights are similar to picture windows in that they don’t open, and are great additions for darker spaces including hallways, living areas, even pantries or closets. Some skylights are stationary, while others can also open for additional ventilation. Opening skylights are especially useful to cut down on condensation in bathrooms and ventilate food smells in the kitchen.
